The electrical industry is on the brink of another significant update with the forthcoming amendment draft to BS 7671:2018+A2:2022. What is changing in BS7671:2018 Amendment 2?

The latest amendment draft, prompted by a bulletin from BEAMA, is rumoured to address crucial distinctions between unidirectional and bidirectional RCDs and circuit-breakers. This clarification is essential as it impacts the installation practices and procedures for electrical systems incorporating these devices. We are unsure what else the new draft entails until it is released on the 8th May 2024. This will be available for comment until 5th June 2024.
