What is an EICR? Central London

An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report), often called a landlord electrical safety certificate, is a detailed inspection and test of a property’s fixed wiring by a qualified electrician. It checks for damage, deterioration and anything that doesn’t meet the current regulations, codes each issue (C1, C2, C3 or FI) and states whether the installation is satisfactory. Landlords in England need one at least every five years and must put right any C1 or C2 issues within 28 days.
