Thermal Imaging Design Validation

The Task

As part of the Level 5 Tag Commissioning of the LV Electrical System in a newly constructed Data Centre, Martin Cook Electrical Services was assigned to conduct a Thermographic survey over a 4-hour period. The objective was to monitor the temperatures of various electrical panels, busbars, and equipment within the facility.

The Outcome

Martin Cook Electrical Services executed a comprehensive Thermographic survey, capturing temperature measurements of the equipment at 30-minute intervals. The survey was conducted by their in-house ITC Category 1 Thermographic Surveyors, ensuring expertise and accuracy in the data collection process.

After capturing the images and temperature data, Martin Cook Electrical Services analysed the findings and compiled them into a detailed Thermal Imaging Report. The report included all the recorded images and presented the key findings from the survey. By utilising high specification Thermographic cameras, the team ensured that the captured images were of the highest quality, leaving no room for potential issues to be overlooked.

The Thermal Imaging Report provided the client with a comprehensive overview of the temperature patterns and performance of the electrical system. This enabled them to identify any anomalies or areas that required attention, ensuring the optimal functionality and safety of the LV Electrical System within the Data Centre.

Martin Cook Electrical Services’ commitment to using advanced technology and their expertise in conducting Thermographic surveys ensured that the client received accurate and reliable information regarding the performance of their electrical system.
